FEA Simulations

Static Linear Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

-
We perform static linear simulations on mechanical components and/ or assemblies to determine stresses, deformation, and failure, when the forces applied to part(s) do not change over time
-
Examples: Stress due to small displacements, beam analysis, shaft design, determine maximum stress of assemblies in different positions/ orientations, etc.

Dynamic Non-Linear FEA Simulations

-
We analyze the behavior of a structure by dividing it into small elements, while accounting for non-linear relationships between forces and deformations, like large displacements, material plasticity, or contact interactions, where the stiffness of the system changes during loading
-
Examples: Fishing rod deflection, plastic snap fits, rubber boot surrounding automobile shifter, threads on a bolt, shifting contact load, large displacements, etc.
